India to Wisconsin

This blog has been created for our family and friends as we go through our journey to adopt our little boy Karuna from India. Hope you enjoy! When will he be here? Monday, July 22, 2013. Karuna joined the school cub scout troop and they got the chance to march in the 4th of July parade. Later in the day we went to the park so that he could see his first fireworks since he arrived. He was so excited when the fireworks started and the look in his eyes was priceless. Karuna in his scout uniform.

What a year it has been for the Malkowski family. Funny how things can change in such a short time. I still remember last Christmas with our usual rushing about and preparing for the holidays. Caroline and I were starting to feel the strain on the long wait to adopt our Sophie. Would this chapter of our life happen or not? Although their martial arts strikes are just as good! Ruby has been giggly and content all week, but unfortunately she had seven seizures! We have no idea why she had so many after the pneumonia was gone. We increased a med last night and thankfully today was a great day. I am hoping that stops the seizures.
